Ceylon Cinnamon

 

Ceylon Cinnamon is indigenous to Sri Lanka. The affinity between Cinnamon and Sri Lanka is so strong that the very botanical name of the spice – Cinnamomum Zeylanicum is derived from the island’s former Latin name for Ceylon.

What is True Cinnamon?

Often referred to as “real cinnamon” or “true cinnamon”, Ceylon cinnamon (C. zeylanicum or C. verum) is native to Sri Lanka. This cinnamon is lighter brown in color, papery and brittle and the bark coils into a single spiraled quill.

Ceylon cinnamon is rarely found in North America and has significantly less of the phenolic compound cinnamaldehyde, which imparts the spicy cinnamon flavor and aroma desired by North American palates. Instead, this cinnamon has a more delicate and complex flavor, with citrus, floral and clove notes.

  8. Cinnamon is a natural blood thinner. Cinnamon should not be taken by people who have been prescribed blood-thinning medications like Coumarin, however, on its own, cinnamon has natural blood-thinning properties and may help to prevent blood clots.

CINNAMON - RAW HONEY - BAKING SODA MIXTURE

 

In an electric mixer,

·         MIX in 1 teaspoon of baking soda into

·         1 cup of Raw Non-Pasteurized Honey

·         Mix on low to medium until foam dissipate (Approx. 10 minutes)

NEXT –

·         Add in 4 tablespoon of Cinnamon and continue mixing until the foaming has completely subsided.

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do what some call ‘turning to sugar’. In reality honey is always honey. However, when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will “crystallize”. When this happens, loosen the lid, boil some water, and sit the honey container in the hot water, turn off the heat and let it liquefy. It is then as good as it ever was.

Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey.

Facts on cinnamon, honey and baking soda:

It is found that a mixture of cinnamon, honey and baking soda cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a "Ram Ban" (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.

HEART DISEASES:
Use the cinnamon, honey and baking soda powder mixture to apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from a heart attack. Also, those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada, various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; cinnamon, honey and baking soda powder mixture revitalize the arteries and veins.

ARTHRITIS:
Arthritis patients may take daily: morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with one tablespoon of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, most all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

TOOTHACHE:
Take one teaspoon of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture and apply on the aching tooth. This may be applied three times a day until the tooth stops aching.

CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours. As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one lukewarm tablespoon of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:
Cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers.

GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan, it is revealed that if the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture is taken the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of the cinnamon, honey and baking soda mixture strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use of honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacteria and viral diseases.
