Environmental-Aid, Organic Odor Control
The many uses of Environmental-Aid
Environmental-Aid is natures own way for a cleaner environment. It is a biodegradable liquid composed of saponins which increase bacterial breakdown of organic wastes and control odors at the same time. Nature has a way of balancing bacterial activity to control odor and breakdown waste. However, when this balance is broken by undesirable odor producing organisms, Environmental-Aid makes it possible for desirable organisms to thrive, thus restoring natures balance for a cleaner environment.
Waste Ponds:
Add 2-4 ppm per day into all new influent entering ponds. Allow 1-3 weeks for results. For faster breakdown of odor and scum, dilute in enough water for coverage and spray or throw over the pond using 6 ounces of product per 1,000 square feet of surface. Repeat after three days and again after six days. Then add 2-4 ppm into the influent for continued results.
Sewage Digestors:
Meter 8 ppm into the daily load transferred to digestors to activate digestion, reduce scum blankets, decrease hydrogen sulfide and increase methane production.
Drain Lines:
Meter 2-4 ppm continually into pipe flow at manholes, lift stations, headworks or sumps. Environmental-Aid will not only control odors but will also reduce grease, slime and other waste deposits from the lines.
Solid Animal and Vegetable Wastes:
In corrals, under cages, in shallow and deep pits and on floors. Dilute in water for coverage and spray over the waste using 6 ounces of product per 1,000 square feet of surface. Repeat twice at 3 day intervals. Reduce dosage to 4 ounces per 1,000 square feet every three days for 4 applications. Then use 4 ounces per 1,000 square feet once every 5 to 10 days for continued control. At least 4 to 10 days are required for odor control.
Outdoor Toilets:
Dilute 1-10 in water and spray over waste in hole or receptacles once a week. Also, use as a spray or wash down on all odor producing surfaces.
Floor Wash Downs:
At packing plants, dairies, kennels, zoos, showers, locker rooms and restrooms. Dilute 1-10 in water and spray on odor producing surfaces or use as a cleaning and mopping solution.
Use Information:
Environmental-Aid is water soluble and can be diluted in any amount of water needed for application. No agitation is needed. Add to spray tanks last. After dilution with water, use up within 48 hours or add 1 ounce copper sulfate to each 10 gallons of dilution water. Treated waste should have a pH of 5.5 to 7.0. Use along with lime or caustic soda in acid wastes. Compatible with chlorine treatment.

Shock Treatment:
Dilute 5 oz. of Environmental-Aid in enough water per 1,000 square feet for surface spraying. repeat once a week if necessary.
Regular Treatment:
Dilute 1/2 oz. Environmental-Aid in 5-10 gallons water and apply to every 1,000 gallons of daily influents until satisfactory condition is being achieved. Then reduce dosage to 1/4 oz. and 1/8 oz. gradually.
Clarifiers, Digesters:
Dilute 8 oz. Environmental-Aid in enough water and add to every 1,000 gallons of influent waste-water for one week, then reduce the treatment to 4 oz., 2 oz. gradually to decompose sludge.
Floor Washing and General Cleaning for Arena, Halls, Hotels:
Dilute one part Environmental-Aid in 5-10 parts water and wash. Spray this diluted solution into the air to eliminate odor immediately.
Ditches, Gutters:
Add 1/2 gallon Environmental-Aid to 500 gallons waste water twice a week. Spray on the surface if necessary.
Air Scrubbers (Water or Solvent Bath:
Absorb and remove volatile odorous materials. Can be used in conjunction with chlorination or oxidizing agents. Use 4-10 oz. Environmental-Aid per 1,000 gallons of washing fluid.
Use anti-foaming agent if necessary for clarifiers, air scrubbers and in cleaning machines.
Ingredients:
- Sarsaponin 10% by weight.
- Copper as preservative 500 ppm.
- Prepare dilute solution prior to use. For storage of diluted solution for more than two days, add 1 oz. of blue stone to each 10 gallons of diluted solution.
